Silky & Linkee L.L.C. ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Linkee mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide a better experience for all our users.
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.
- Profile Content: Any social media links, bios, or profile pictures you upload to your public-facing Linkee profile.
- Device Information: We may collect your mobile device's hardware model, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- Push Notification Data: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications, requiring your device's registration token.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Facilitate the sharing of your social links with your connections.
- Send you service-related notifications via push notifications.
- Maintain and improve the App's security and performance.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
- Google Firebase: Used for authentication, database management, and Cloud Messaging.
- Social Media Platforms: When you link to third-party profiles, those platforms may collect data per their own privacy policies.
3a. Google User Data (YouTube)
When you connect your YouTube account, we access limited Google user data through the YouTube API strictly to power the features you use — viewing your connected channel's name and thumbnail, and publishing videos you create in Linkee directly to your own channel at your explicit request.
- We do not sell, share, or transfer Google user data obtained via the YouTube API to any third party, except as strictly necessary to provide this core functionality, comply with a legal obligation, or as part of a merger or acquisition (with advance notice to affected users).
- Google user data obtained via the YouTube API is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Access tokens are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and stored in a private, access-restricted backend database — never exposed to other users or accessible via any public-facing part of the app.
- Google user data is deleted from our systems when you disconnect YouTube or delete your Linkee account.
- Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Retention: We retain your information as long as your account is active.
- Deletion: You may delete your account at any time within the App settings.
- Note: Account deletion is irreversible. Your data is removed from our active databases and your email/phone number will be permanently blocked from re-registration.
5. Children's Privacy
Linkee is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
